The Book of Will

Play By Lauren Gunderson
Directed by Josh Feder

The Book of Will tells the story of how the friends and family of William Shakespeare frantically struggled to compile and print his works into the first folio of theatrical works, an undertaking that permanently redefined theatre.

This project was slated to open in April of 2020, and was cancelled due to COVID-19.

My goal was to support the realism of the world of 17th Century London through diegetic soundscapes. This project was also going to be my first foray into composition for a theatrical production, quietly supporting key emotional moments and transitions, and building tension and excitement toward the climax of the play.
